David Wilkinson

January 14, 1967 — March 11, 2015

David Todd Wilkinson passed away unexpectedly on March 11, 2015 due to complications arising from routine surgery.

Dave was born in Ogden, Utah to Rex and Janeal Wilkinson on January 14, 1967. Dave graduated from Morgan High School and served a LDS mission in Seattle, Washington. Dave’s most important achievement was his children, McKay and Emma.  The time that Dave spent with his children was his greatest joy. They loved watching movies, enjoying a good meal, and just being together.  Dave was a gifted artist and created many beautiful portraits that are displayed in his parents’ home.  He was a history buff and expert on the American Civil War and Native America culture.  He had a great love for his Koi fish and looked forward to his yearly trips to Thanksgiving Point with his cousin Kurt to get new fish for the pond at the family campground. He knew and had names for each of his fish, and he delighted to share them with his children and nieces and nephews.  Dave was a devoted fan of the Utah Jazz and never missed a game. He was quick to smile and laugh and he loved playing Risk or other board games with his brothers, brothers-in law and nephews. Dave had an unfailing testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and his atoning sacrifice.

His family wishes to thank his little mountain community of good neighbors, friends, and cousins that supported and shared their love with Dave.

David is survived by his children, McKay David Wilkinson and Emma Leigh Wilkinson, his mother Janeal and father Rex, two sisters and four brothers: Clayton (Barbara), Pam (Ken) Sessions, Van (Erin), Chad (Carol), Douglas (Michelle) and Tawnya (Michael) McConkie, 21 nephews and nieces who love him dearly and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 16, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Enterprise Stake Center, 2755 West Old Highway Rd. Family and friends may call at the Stake Center on Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm and and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
