Blake Ford

December 15, 1993 — March 4, 2015

Blake Steven Ford, 21, passed away unexpectedly doing what he loved on March 4, 2015 at Snowbasin Ski Resort. He was born to Steven Ford and Shari (Bingham) Baird in Ogden, Utah on December 15, 1993. He was not only a son, brother, grandson and best friend, he is a local “Legend.” To many Blake was a hero and a role model. Blake had a smile that beamed from his face that could light the darkest room. Those blue sparkly eyes were full of memories of the past and huge dreams for the future. Blake was the most caring, loving, big-hearted person around. He always made sure he could get a laugh out of any situation, leaving a smile stained on the face of anyone around.  A small embrace or a simple hug from that boy could leave you breathless. He spent time exploring new careers and hobbies in Washington and California over the last couple years, but had recently returned to Utah which he always considered his home. He was a talented musician and enjoyed playing in bands from a young age. Blake also had several other hobbies including snowboarding, surfing, swimming in the ocean, camping and fishing with his father.

Blake is survived by his father Steven Ford, mother Shari Baird, step-father Robert Baird; siblings Kaden Baird and Lily Ford. Grandparents Karen Nielson and Allen Nielson, Nita Ford, Dixon Ford, Ruth Rose, Berla Bingham and several aunts, uncles, cousins and loving friends. Blake is preceded in death by his grandfather Kyle Bingham, whose loving arms were the first to receive him.

A celebration of Blake’s life will begin Monday, March 9, 2015 with public viewing at Walker Mortuary (45 West, 200 North Morgan, Utah).  The public viewing will be from 6-8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held the following day at the Milton LDS Church (1255 North Morgan Valley Drive Milton, Utah).  The service will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will be preceded by a viewing from 9:45-10:45 a.m.

At the conclusion of the services, Blake will be laid to rest at the Milton Cemetery.
